What can I give to the King?

This was the text of my original message last April 21st, when I was asked to give short message during worship through giving or known as “Tithes and Offering”.

Verse:

Proverbs 23:26 NLT

O my son, give me your heart. May your eyes take delight in following my ways.

Lord thank you for your word.

Yes we are in our worship through giving, but let me ask you this..

What is that one thing that God is asking you to give tonight?

Is it the money that you will give to church or your best effort in the ministry you are right now, is it your diligence in coming here before 5PM, is it your way of raising your hand and giving your best shout?

Well, pause for a moment, God is only asking You to surrender.. your broken, your tired and your worn-out heart.

He wants you personally, BUT the only one who knows, is you. You and God, no one else knows. Well, your action can portray the decision you made BUT if we really given our heart to God our eyes should fix on Him

You don’t view things that should not view

You don’t act things that should not do

You don’t say things that should not say

The more, You don’t feel things things that should not feel

You don’t feel bad if people don’t appreciate you, people don’t give attention to you or people blame you.

If our heart is with God.

We are reminded that whatever we do, whether in this  tithing or giving, or whether its just standing here or sitting here. We do all these things with all our heart not for men, but for the Lord.

Take ownership!

If our heart is in tuned with God, in all our ways, we will acknowledge Him.

Prayer:

Let’s pray, Lord tonight, as we decided to give our heart to you and as we decided to give our resources, I pray that we will not do it out of regret or under pressure. We will do it because we love you cheerfully. Thank you for your son Jesus, your greatest gift to mankind. I declare you ignite tonight the heart of generous people that they will act upon it and be blessing to church to people and to the people that doesn’t know you yet. This all we pray, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
